Time to Get Back Into It

After a very long (and much needed) break from scrapping, I am happy to say that I am back into it. I am really loving getting creative again. Here are a few of the layouts I have been making lately. I am a little rusty and trying to change things up a bit.

Back in April, we had a family photography session with Charmaine Otto Photography. I have been a huge fan of hers for a long time and it was awesome to get her out to the farm for some family photos. It's not hard to scrap when you have such beautiful photos to work with.

Sorry....

for being the worst blogger ever!! I know it's been a long time since I last posted on here. And that's because I have had nothing to share. :( I lost my passion for scrapping and it took a back seat to life. It still does.

A few weekends ago however, I headed to Dalby to spend some time scrapping (and a lot of time laughing!) with my gorgeous friends Donna, Sarah and Lisa. These amazingly talented and creative girls helped me find my mojo again. I have even scrapped a few layouts since I've been home! I am going to try and make the time to be creative again.

Anyway here are some of my new layouts:

Thanks for visiting. I hope to share some other layouts again soon. :)

It's Been A While.....

since I last blogged but I have had no new layouts to share. :( Scrapping has taken a back seat to life lately and to be honest, I haven't really missed it. Luke and I had our trip to New Zealand at the end of November, which was amazing! And then there has been the end of the school year and the build up to Christmas. Crazy times!!! Hopefully after New Year I can back into it again.

But having said all of that, I did manage to find the time the other day for 1 layout. I found this photo on a disc we got from the kids teachers. This was Michala at her first swimming carvival. I love that she now has the confidence in the water to have a go in the races.

I'd just like to take this opportunity also to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy 2013. Thank you for all your lovely throughout the year too. I really appreciate it. Take care and thanks for stopping by...

D-lish Scraps DT Call!!!!!

Sadly, at the end of next month, my Design Team term at D-lish Scraps will come to an end. I have had an amazing time being part of this team - the products are fantastic and Amanda is great to 'work' for. She is currently holding a Design Team call to find some new D-lish Designers for early next year. Here are all the details:
Good luck to all of you who apply. You will have so much fun! Here is one of my recent layouts using D-lish Products. There are lots and lots of layers on this one.

Under all of those layers, I have started with one of the cute paper doilies from D-lish Scraps. I have then added some yellow polka dot fabric tape and more layers of patterned paper - some that I have cut out using my Nestabilities dies.

After I added my photo, I have created another layer on the top with my dymo tape journalling, the chevron bottle top and the heart & star buttons.

Slacker!

Oops! I've been a bit slack at updating my blog lately, haven't I? Things have been a little crazy and we are getting ready to go away next weekend. Luke and I are going to New Zealand, kid free, for our 10th Wedding Anniversary! I'm really looking forward to spending some time together, just the 2 of us. I'm very grateful to my parents, who are coming out to the farm to look after the kids while we are gone.

Anyway, onto some scrapping. This is a layout I created as part of my Creative Team position at Chelley Bean Designs. We were given some of these gorgeous hessian flowers to have a play with.

I love this photo of Darcie, it is so typically her. She ALWAYS has a dirty face! I don't know how she manages it - part of growing up on a farm, I guess. lol And here are some close ups of the flowers:

And here is my journalling:

A Little Weekend Challenge

Last friday, I sat down to print out a couple of photos so that I could scrap. My printer died when printing the first photo! So I gave up on the idea of scrapping and got on Facebook instead - as you do! lol I put up a status about my failed attempt to scrap. One of my lovely scrapping friends and former fellow LSBS DTer, Belinda Comerford, set me a challenge. She challenged me to go digging out some of my pre-printed photos and use them to scrap with. She then added some extra criteria - monochromatic colour scheme plus one other colour. I am always up for a challenge so I accepted - and she said she would do it too and we could share our layouts on FB by the end of the weekend. So this is the first layout I created.

I've used blue as my main colour with black as the other colour. The photo is from my wedding day in 2002. Here is my journalling.

And here's a close up of some gorgeous new D-lish Scraps flowers that I received in the mail last week - how pretty are they?

This layout is a little different to my usual style but it was nice to mix things up a little. :)

And this was my second layout. I've used Pink and white as the colours on this layout. The photos are of Michala at Playgroup when she was about 2 and a half.

Here's a close up of some of the details and my journalling.

As you can see the sewing machine got a good work out on this layout too.

I've used lots of scrap paper and created a few layers behind the photos. I really enjoyed scrapping these old photos. Belle and I have decided that we will be challenging each other again.

A D-lish Catch Up

I have been a little slack at sharing my creations for D-lish Scraps here on my blog. I have a couple of layouts that have appeared on the D-lish Facebook page but I haven't shown them here. Whoops! This layout is from Michala's birthday.

The pink and blue flowers are available in the D-lish Store, as well as the pink crochet trim.

Here is a close up of the journalling:

And a close up of a resin flower also available at D-lish.

A couple of months ago, Luke got a new farm truck. That man has far too many 'toys'! lol

I have used some washi tape from D-lish. This distressed grey spotty tape is one of my favourites.

And I've used some twine as well.

Don't forget to pop over to the D-lish Facebook page and the blog to see what the rest of the DT have created with these gorgeous products. Thanks so much for stopping by...
