Scrap The Girls

I had another clean up of my scrap space the other day in an attempt to find my mojo. I stumbled across these Maya Road chipboard hearts and kept them out with the idea of doing something with them. They were perfect for this months criteria at Scrap The Girls - the word 'love' in the title, turquoise as the dominant colour and chipboard. So I have played along:
The background paper is a turqoise kinda colour, it just doesn't look like it in this photo! lol I had a bit of trouble with my Mister Hueys white mist so it is more like a splat than a mist but I like it anyway. :)

I had originally planned on using the chipboard as a mask but when my Mister Hueys played up I decided to paint the chipboard red and use them on the layout.

And I've added this cute little chevron badge from The Greatest View.

Slack!!

Yes, I am a slack blogger! It's been a while since I updated, but I have a good excuse - I've had nothing to share. :( I'm still not really feeling 'it' about scrapping anymore. I seem to have too many other things going on at the moment. But I did spend the weekend in Brissy with an awesome bunch of ladies at the Papercraft Expo. I did 2 classes with Lou Nelson and Giovanna Scott. I haven't had a chance to finish what I made in those classes so I am going to share a few layouts I did at Donna's instead. I've used up some little bits and pieces on this one - paper and embellies:
I just loved the background on this pp so kept the layout fairly simple.

And I've used a little bit of paint and some OA 'Farmhouse' on this one:

I will hopefully be back in a few days to share my class projects with you.

Another Stuck?! GDT Layout

Here is my take on the February 15th sketch at Stuck?! Sketches as part of my Guest DT gig.

And here is the sketch it is based on: I have used little scraps of paper in a chevron pattern as the background behind my photos. I have used 2 photo strips for my photos and some more machine stitching!A close up of a fabric button I made myself: I'm still loving using up little bits of my stash - like this OA afternoon badge, for example. I would love to see your layouts. Check out what the rest of the CT did here.

I'm off for a girls weekend in Dalby then Brissy this weekend - with a bit of scrapping thrown in there too! I'm doing a class with Lou Nelson and Giovanna Scott on Saturday - so excited! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by...

She's All Kinds Of Crazy

I have another layout to share! This time it's one about Michala. She's a dag sometimes! lol (Apologies for the poor pic)
I am loving chevron patterns at the moment and loving layering with lots of paper strips. I have used some Jillibean Soup, Bella Blvd, Cosmo Cricket, Echo Park and LilyBee papers on this one. I've added a little fabric flower that I made myself.

Love these alphas from Sass Lass. I have heaps of them but always forget to use them!

And how cute are these chevron badges from The Greatest View?

And one more close up:

Fun Times

Instead of moping around, I have decided to create my way out of my mojo slump. :) And while this may not be the best layout I have ever created, it's a memory recorded and I am going to share it anyway. It's a 'just because':

I've used a mix of patterned papers on this one, but most of the embellies are October Afternoon 'Sidewalks'.
I created the background by adding texture paste over a Crafters Workshop template. I then sprayed it with Mister Hueys.

I've added a Lil Red Rocket button:

And used some of the chipboard for my title:

February Photo A Day

I'm back to share with you my first 5 days of the February Photo A Day Challenge from the FatMumSlim blog.

Day 1 - Your view today. I took this photo of my view out of the office window while I was sitting in front of the computer, catching up on what was happening in the outside world. It's a bit fuzzy because it was through the flyscreen but you get the idea. This is looking down into the front paddock.

The grass is really green and tall at the moment. The cows are very happy!

Day 2 - Words. These were the first words I saw for the day. I had forgotten to change over my calendar to the new month and when I did, this is what I saw. Who am I to argue? lol

Day 3 - Hands. So I was a day late with this one. We went to town on Friday and didn't get home until after 9pm! Taking a photo was the last thing on my mind! lol So the next morning I took this photo of my hand and my new Polar HRM so I can keep track of my workouts. ;)

So far, so good!

Day 4 - A Stranger. Lachlan made pancakes for breakfast but Luke cooked them. And this is what he did:

Chances were that I wasn't going to see any people strangers on the farm so I took a photo of this guy instead.

Day 5 - 10.00am. I was sitting at my scrap desk trying to find my mojo (that's a whole other story!) and Luke and Darcie had come in to talk to me. So I took this quick snap with the camera on my iPad - not the best quality but you get the idea.

So there you have it. 5 days down. Are you playing along too? I would love to see your photos too, if you are.

Stuck?!

I was so excited when Sara asked me to be Guest Designer this month at Stuck?! Sketches. I am a huge fan of Sara's sketches and play along regularly on the blog. This is my sample layout for the February 1st sketch:

And here is the sketch:

I have used some more OA 'Farmhouse'. It's just too yummy!

And I have used a little piece of corrugated cardboard behind the photo.

I would love to see you all play along. Check out what the very talented CT did here.

She...

It's a new month which means that there are new monthly challenges up over at the Little Scrapbook Shop. This months theme is Sew Pretty and, you guessed it, the challenges are about sewing. This is the layout for my challenge - to use machine stitching on a layout. Simple, huh? lol

I have used the yummy Crate paper 'Random' collection on this layout. I've used strips of paper and then stitched over the top.

I have covered these Pink Paislee wooden alphas with washi tape. You can see my step by step here on my blog.

And a close up of some other detail:

I would really love to see you play along. You can win a $30 voucher to spend in the shop. And how good would that be with all the new stuff currently being released at CHA! You can find the details of the challenge here.
