More Mojo Layouts

I'm back with the rest of my Mojo layouts to share. This one was for the Song Title challenge. I've used some Echo Park on this one:

This one was a just because using some paint and yet more twine:

I just love these photos of Darcie. They capture her personality perfectly!

And finally this one of Lachlan. This was another challenge layout - to use string and masking.

Isn't my boy beautiful with his 2 front teeth missing?? LOL. I've used Studio Calico mist and some Pink Paislee on this one.

I have been scrapping again! Luke bought a new office desk and stationery cabinet on eBay so I now have a new desk! It is 2m by 1m and the top of it rolls back to reveal some little pigeon holes - perfect for me to put an unfinished layout! I'll take some photos and share once I have it all looking pretty! ;)

Some Mojo Layouts

I'm back with a few layouts from Camp Mojo to share. We were given a little vintage pack and a challenge to use at least 3 of the items to create something. This is the layout I did (and I won!!):

For my win, I was given a He's Savvy Kit from Scrapbook Savvy (thanks Sar!) and this is a layout I did with it using some cute A Lil' Something goodies: I still have heaps left and will do a few more when I get a chance. ;) I took along my October Afternoon 'Rocket Age' stuff that I had been saving especially for Mojo. Here are a couple of layouts using it:
I seem to have a bit of a twine affair happening again. ;) He really is a 'Captain Crazy'!

And here is one using a mix of OA '5 & Dime' and Pink Paislee 'Hometown Summer':

I still have a few more to share but don't want to overload you all at once! LOL I'll be back in a couple of days. Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave. :)

Sorry!

It seems I am becoming a very slack blogger. :( I haven't updated for a while, but I haven't had anything new to share either. But that is about to change...

I have just come home from the most awesome weekend at Camp Mojo in the Hunter Valley, NSW. It was a pleasure and an honour to be in a room full of talented, creative, like-minded ladies. I was lucky enough to meet and hang out with my fellow Masters - Bridgette, Tatum and Michelle as well as Ebony, Jodi, Ali, Lauren and my roomie Crystal. We had so many laughs and I will not forget it for a long time to come. Here are some photos - not taken by me. I didn't take my camera coz I couldn't fit it in (plus I figured there would be plenty of other who did! LOL). I have plucked these off Facebook. A group shot:

Me and the gorgeous Ebony:

This lady is a true inspiration to me - and I got to watch her scrap! (although I don't think she knew I was watching! Sorry Lou!)

And these 2 crazy funny Tassie chicks!! And super talented too!

I haven't had a chance to unpack my layouts yet so when I do I will give you an update. I managed 11 layouts for the weekend which is a few less than I thought I would do. I think I may have left my mojo somewhere between here and Sydney. :(

Big Softy

If you have met my husband, you would know that he can sometimes come across as being a little heartless and a bit of an old fuddy-duddy (but don't tell him I said that! LOL). But when you get to really know him, you see that he is just a big softy on the inside and the rest is really just an act. He loves his kids and is a wonderful father. I don't think he ever saw himself as a father to girls and they certainly have him wrapped around their little fingers. ;)

I have once again used Pink Paislee 'Hometown Summer' on this one - all available at The Little Scrapbook Shop. I had a little play with some fabric and Cosmo Cricket Glubers to make the flower:

And have used a lot of layering and some paint on the background. And lots of doodling of course!

It's 2 weeks today until I head off to Camp Mojo! I'm starting to get really excited. It will be great to catch up with old friends and meet some online pals in real life too! Can't wait!!

Hmmm..

so it's been a while since I last updated my blog! Things have been very crazy on the farm so there hasn't been any time for creating. :( We have been doing a lot of cattle work and along with that comes visitors (or helpers as I like to think of them!). So my job for the last week has been cleaning (to get ready for visitors), cooking (to feed said visitors), more cleaning (after said visitors had gone home) and washing all the sheets and towels used while they were here. Plus I chipped in and helped around the farm where I could too. So needless to say I am feeling pretty exhausted. But on a positive note, all the farm jobs have been done with no hassles, so I have one happy husband. :)

Anyway, yesterday I finally had a chance to do a little creating. :) Last week, my latest DT pack from the Little Scrapbook Shop arrived. I let out a little squeal when I saw what was inside - some yummy Pink Paislee 'Hometown Summer'. I thought it was too cute to just use on a layout that would then end up in an album and not looked at again (well not for a while anyway). I had some old frames that I was going to throw out but thought I could alter them and use them in the kids rooms. So this is one of the old frames:

And this is what I did to it:

I've painted the wood on the outside and added some of the cute patterned papers to the inside. Simple but effective. It now hangs on the wall in the Girls' bedroom. And out of the same range I was able to create something for Lachlan's room. I had 2 of these frames that used to hang on the wall in the nursery.

And this is what I have done:

I have used the papers from the Hometown Summer range and added a few October Afternoon '5 & Dime' card and chipboard embellishments to finish them off. They are now sitting on the bookshelf in his room. :)

Luke took the kids to work for most of the day today. After getting the housework done this morning, I was able to scrap a layout this afternoon. I will photograph it and share tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by...

New Monthly Challenges!

At the Little Scrapbook Shop, we will no longer be having a Cybercrop each month. But instead, we will now be having 2 challenges that you have the WHOLE month to complete! How cool is that??!! And the prizes are fantastic - you could win a $30 secret code voucher!! And if you have seen all the new goodies in the shop lately, you will want to win it!!

So myself and Deanne are the first DT members to set the challenges. You can find all the details of Dee's challenge here. My challenge is a sketch challenge. You have to use the sketch below and use the quote 'Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face' by Victor Hugo as your inspiration.

This is my sample layout using some more yummy October Afternoon 5 & Dime.

I would really love to see you play along. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend. :)
