Hmmm..

so it's been a while since I last updated my blog! Things have been very crazy on the farm so there hasn't been any time for creating. :( We have been doing a lot of cattle work and along with that comes visitors (or helpers as I like to think of them!). So my job for the last week has been cleaning (to get ready for visitors), cooking (to feed said visitors), more cleaning (after said visitors had gone home) and washing all the sheets and towels used while they were here. Plus I chipped in and helped around the farm where I could too. So needless to say I am feeling pretty exhausted. But on a positive note, all the farm jobs have been done with no hassles, so I have one happy husband. :)

Anyway, yesterday I finally had a chance to do a little creating. :) Last week, my latest DT pack from the Little Scrapbook Shop arrived. I let out a little squeal when I saw what was inside - some yummy Pink Paislee 'Hometown Summer'. I thought it was too cute to just use on a layout that would then end up in an album and not looked at again (well not for a while anyway). I had some old frames that I was going to throw out but thought I could alter them and use them in the kids rooms. So this is one of the old frames:

And this is what I did to it:

I've painted the wood on the outside and added some of the cute patterned papers to the inside. Simple but effective. It now hangs on the wall in the Girls' bedroom. And out of the same range I was able to create something for Lachlan's room. I had 2 of these frames that used to hang on the wall in the nursery.

And this is what I have done:

I have used the papers from the Hometown Summer range and added a few October Afternoon '5 & Dime' card and chipboard embellishments to finish them off. They are now sitting on the bookshelf in his room. :)

Luke took the kids to work for most of the day today. After getting the housework done this morning, I was able to scrap a layout this afternoon. I will photograph it and share tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by...
