So...I have news!

I am a D-Lish Designer for the next 6 months!! I'm so excited to be working alongside some very talented ladies. Make sure you head over to the store and check out all the awesome washi tapes in stock as well as all the gorgeous flowers. I can't wait to start creating with them. :)

And Now For Something Completely Different...

well for me anyway. I've been sewing!! A little while ago, I came across these cute little headbands on Pinterest. I was getting sick of seeing the girls with their hair in their faces so I decided to make a couple for them (and had a go at making one for myself too!).

They are very quick and easy to make - which is good because my sewing skills are limited! lol

And this is what they look like on, thanks to my little model:

And a side view:

I had to make the ones for the girls a little smaller and have played with a few different designs as well. I love how they have turned out. You can find the tutorial and pattern for them here.

I will be back in the next few days with some scrappy shares too. There are some advantages to 3 rainy days in a row. ;) Thanks for stopping by...

But Wait....There's More!!

Retreat layouts to share that is! lol Here are a couple more. This dog belongs to some friends of ours who came out to visit recently. She is an American Bulldog and her name is 'Pearl'. She was asleep one night, snoring like no tomorrow and I just had to take this photo of her. lol

I've used some new Cosmo Cricket on this one - love the colours in this range. And here is the obligatory close up - I've used another Greatest View badge:

And here's a close up of the title.

And here is another layout of my beautiful boy - love him to bits!

I've used some Echo Park pp, and these Prima alphas:

And here's another close up - thanks to Sarah Hemmings for the Bingo number!

So there you have it! I'm almost at the end of sharing my retreat layouts. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to scrap since! :( I'm hoping to rectify that this weekend. Thanks for stopping by...

It's Getting Busy on The Farm

Life has been a little hectic lately on the farm and it doesn't look like slowing up anytime soon. This weekend we will have Luke's family here while we do the weaning and branding. Luke has his new farm truck, an old Western Star semi-trailer, and his stock crate and he is so excited to finally use it! lol It also means a busy weekend for me keeping the troupes fed and cleaning up after them - joy!

Here are a few farm related layouts that I also did at the Wicked Princesses Retreat. The photo on this one was taken by Michala, a kids-eye view I guess. lol This is our beautiful old horse, Sonny.

I've used some October Afternoon 'Sarsparilla' on this one - it was perfect for these photos.

For the background, I have used the same technique as I've shown you before. I have used a Crafters Workshop template with some texture paste. When the texture paste was dry, I put the template back over the cardstock and sprayed it with mist. I love the effect it makes.

This next layout also features some October Afternoon - the 'Farmhouse' range this time. My Mum took this photo of all 3 kids together in the chook pen. Yep, that's an old dunny for the chookhouse.

Here's a close up of the title using some Jillibean Soup corrugated alphas.

And here are a few more:

I Have A Few More...

layouts to share from the Wicked Princesses Retreat. All of these layouts feature some gorgeous Charms Creations. This first layout features some techniques shown to me by the uber-talented Krissy Christie. There is no patterned paper on this layout. The background was created using mist, templates and stamps. I love how it turned out.

Here's a close up of a Charms Creations star and a cog that has been embossed through the Cuttlebug:

And a close up of the title - we had a contractor out with an excavator and Darcie thought he was the bees knees. He took her for a ride in the excavator and she loved it!

I created this layout using one of the Kits that Krissy had for sale at the retreat. It had lots of yummy My Minds Eye in it. The photo is of a friends little boy when they came out to visit a few weeks ago.

Another close up:

And I've used one of Charm's lollipops on this one:

And finally a layout about my darling husband - loving the pose! lol I've kept this one pretty simple.

Another star from Charms Creations:

And a cute badge from Ormolu.

I still have a few more layouts from the retreat to share but won't bore you all at once. I'll be back later. Thanks for stopping by...
