Back Again

with a few more shares. Only 2 layouts to go and I am caught up! :) These are the ones I've done since yesterdays' post. This is the sketch from the 25th with the extra criteria of negative alphas and black cardstock - check!
The photo is from when we took the kids to see the Wiggles a few years ago. And this one is from the 24th. I've flipped it on its side. I don't really like this one but it was created late at night and I was a little over it by then! lol

This is my take on the sketch from way back on the 16th. I couldn't do 30 sketches and not have a Christmas one in there somewhere! lol

This one is from the 15th and had the extra criteria of a painted background and string. The photo in this one was taken by Sarah Hemmings. I've used mist as my background and added some twine.

And finally, this is my take on the sketch from the 26th. I've machine stitched again! I just wish I didn't have such a crappy sewing machine, cause I actually enjoy sewing on my pages but get really frustrated with my machine! lol And the photo once again was taken by Sarah.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm hoping to be all caught up by this afternoon. (And then I'd better start on the housework.)

More Sketches

We have been 'camping' over at our other property for a few days with no internet access so I have fallen way behind on the sketches over at Scrapbooking From Scratch. I am determined to catch up though so this is my take on todays sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches:

Don't fall off your chairs, but I have actually machine stitched on this one!! I've used lots of mist as well and some Studio Calico pps. This is my take on yesterdays sketch. I copied Sarah and used a pic of Luke and I on our wedding day. (Hope you don't mind Sarah).

And yes, the photo is crooked but by the time I realised I'd already stuck stuff over the top, so it's just going to have to stay that way! LOL I've used Crate Paper 'Portrait' again. And finally this is my take on the sketch from the 23rd September.

Still using my OA 'Rocket Age' - just love it! These photos of Lachlan are a few years old now. I can't believe how much he's changed. Here's hoping I can get the rest finished soon.

Still Catching Up

on the sketches I've missed at Scrapbooking From Scratch. This one is from the 17th. I've scrapped a photo of my Mum on her wedding day.
This was todays sketch which is also a Sassy Lil Sketches Sketch. I was inspired by a layout I saw on the Bella Blvd blog by Leeann Pearce. I've used some Crate Paper 'Neighbourhood'.

This is my take on the sketch from the 19th. It had extra criteria of using spots.

This layout is the sketch from the 18th Sept. It also happens to be the current sketch at Stuck?!

And finally this is the sketch from the 20th Sept. Yep that's my husband up a tree! Sometimes I wonder if I have 4 kids instead of 3. lol

I was able to get all these layouts done today because of a scrappy day with Sarah & Donna. It was nice to scrap and chat with other people. :) Hopefully I can catch up the rest in the next few days.

Been AWOL

We've been in Brisbane for the weekend. We took the kids down to Seaworld last Friday. It was such a fantastic day. We also caught up with family for a few days.

Because we were away, I am way behind in the daily sketch comp at SFS. I'm madly trying to catch up. This is my layout for the 11th Sept sketch:

I've used a mix of OA 'Boarding Pass' and 'Seaside' on this one. And this is todays sketch using some Simple Stories 'Happy Day':

And finally, the sketch from 12 Sept with the extra criteria of a patterned paper background and 3 photos.
I've used some Echo Park 'Happy Days' on it. I'm hoping to catch up the rest over the school holidays. Wish me luck! lol

Catching Up

on a few of the sketches I missed for the Sketchaday Comp at Scrapbooking From Scratch. The main reason I've fallen behind is because this sweet little thing had a birthday on Saturday:

She's a big 5 year old now! We had a quiet day at home for her birthday but are heading to the Gold Coast this weekend for a trip to Seaworld. She's so excited! Anyway back to the scrapping. This is my take on todays sketch. It's a little different!

And this is my take on the sketch from Sept 10th. It's also the monthly challenge over at Scrapbook Savvy. I thought I'd better do a layout about Lachlan in case he thought I'd forgotten about him! LOL

I've used some more Crate Paper 'Toy Box'. It's nearly all gone now. :( It's one of my most fav ranges EVER!

I'm hoping to catch up on the rest of the sketches before we go away. Thanks for stopping by...

A Few More Shares

I have a few layouts to share today that I haven't shared already. I've been doing so much scrapping lately, I'd forgotten what I had shared and what I hadn't! LOL This layout was one that I did at Donna's mini-retreat a few weekends ago!

Love that Scrapware chipboard frame! I think I need some more! :) And the next 2 are from the LSBS retreat - both are pretty simple:

And finally these last 2 are from the last 2 days of sketches at Scrapbooking From Scratch. This was yesterdays:

And this is todays:

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend! :)

More Sketches!

Here are the next 3 sketches I have done as part of the September comp at Scrapbooking From Scratch. This is my layout for today:

I've used some October Afternoon 'Boarding Pass' on this one. This photo was taken on our family holiday to Sydney earlier this year. It's based on this sketch by Mal:

This was the sketch from Day 5 by Kate:And here is my take. I have used Glimmermist in the background and used Echo Park 'Happy Days'. (Photo by Donna's daughter, Mandy):
And this is the sketch for day 4:

And my layout:
Loving my Dymo labeller at the moment (can you tell!? lol) I've used some gorgeousness from A Lil Something on this one.

Turning Five

It's Michala's birthday next Saturday and she is going to be five. She is so excited and thinks that on that day, she will be able to start school and know how to read and write! It's so cute listening to her talk about it! I haven't got the heart to tell her that she still has to wait until next year. I thought I would record this memory and have used this layout as my entry for the Sept 1st sketch at Stuck?!. It also happens to be today's sketch for the September comp at Scrapbooking From Scratch. Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout:

I have used some Crate Paper 'Portrait' on this one and added the Prima vine. I have added some journalling to tell the story too.

Two For The Price Of One

There is a new comp happening for the month of September over at Scrapbooking From Scratch. There is a new sketch everyday and awesome prizes up for grabs. I've decided to play along and todays sketch was a 2 for 1 offer - you could either use the sketch and the criteria for WW1 or STG. I decided to go for STG and the criteria this month is to use clips (paper clips, bulldog clips etc). So here is the sketch by the lovely Malinda Gardner:

And here is my take:

I've added a little patterned paper to the background and used a bulldog clip on the photo. :)

And this was yesterdays' sketch:
And here is my layout:

I've shrunk the patterned paper and used some mist in the background. I've used some Crate Paper 'Neighbourhood' on this one.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave....

More Retreat Layouts

I just thought I would share some more of the layouts I did at the Little Scrapbook Shop retreat over the weekend. This one is using some Echo Park 'Happy Days'. Love the 'retro' feel of this range!

I went all girly for this layout. I've used some Prima and some Scrapware chippy. Thanks to Donna's daughter Mandy, who took the photo when we were there a few weekend's ago.

I spotted this Studio Calico paper in the shop and it was just perfect for this photo:

And I'm loving all the woodgrain. :) I've added some A Lil Something goodies to this page.

This layout was for one of the 45 minute challenges - using more Echo Park. Using some Simple Stories:

Another one of Mandy's photos - I've used some Cosmo Cricket 'Odds & Ends' on this one:

And here's a couple of layouts using October Afternoon 'Boarding Pass'. I love how you can use this range for non-travel layouts. ;)

Sorry for the layout overload. If you have made it this far, thanks so much for stopping by....
