For Mothers Day, I got to spend the day with my Mum and my Nana, along with my family, at Mum and Dad's place in Brissy. It was only the second time since I had become a mother myself, that we have all had the day together. It was lovely. The afternoon was spent sitting around relaxing and enjoying a few drinks on the lawn.
Michala wouldn't let me take her photo. She kept hiding behind my Dad's chair and would pop her head out every now and then. I pretended I was taking a photo of my Dad and she happened to pop her head around the corner at just the right time - cheeky thing!
The cardstock for this layout almost found itself in the bin. I had tried something on the background and didn't like how it turned out. I knew I was running low on Kraft and didn't want to waste it, so I threw a little bit of white paint around on it and covered the rest up with paper and embellies! lolI've used some more Ormolu products on this one. The chevron tag and the little camera badge are from there.
And so is this journal spot. The rest of the layout is Crate Paper 'Story Teller'.
Here's a close up of the title:
I am heading off to the Wicked Princesses Retreat on Thursday with my favourite scrappy peeps! I'm taking my neighbour, who has never scrapped before and tells me she doesn't want to, but I bet she scraps something before the end of the weekend! lol I have heaps of new goodies that I want to have a play with. I'm excited that I will get some uninterrupted scrappy time. :) Well in between the eating and drinking! lol I will hopefully have lots to share when I get back.
Thanks for stopping by...

You LUCKY thing...I bet your neighbour scraps, too...how could she not??!!!! This is a fun LO...just done the same myself, almost, today with a LO. Actually ripped off the good bits [most of it] so I didn't waste it all! Great feeling making something from an almost disaster:):):)
