Cybercropping!

I have been playing along at the Scrapbook Savvy Cybercrop that started over the weekend. The weather was perfect for scrapping, a little bit cloudy and cold and there were a couple of big football games that I could watch at the same time. ;) I will share a couple of my layouts with you today. This one was for Tara's colour challenge - to use pink, grey and kraft.

I really love this colour combo. And the photo matched perfectly with my papers! lol

Here's a couple of  close ups of some of my embellishments - including this cute little wooden butterfly from D-lish Scraps.

Another challenge was the sketch challenge set by Kerryn. This was her sketch:

And this is my layout. I have changed it a little bit by using only 2 photos instead of 3.

I just love these Thickers - I've nearly used them all so I might need to hunt down some more! I've used my sewing machine a little on this one too.

I have been having a bit of a clean up of my scrap stash and need to start using up some of my older embellies so I have used these Prima flowers and there is a piece of WOW chipboard under there as well.

And here is a close up of my journalling:

I'll be back in the next few days to share the rest of my layouts. Thanks for stopping by...

Black is Back!

I used to scrap a lot on black cardstock but haven't done it for ages. While on retreat I pulled some out and created 2 layouts using it. I think I have fallen in love again. These are both 'just because' layouts - and they both happen to be full of October Afternoon goodness! This photo was taken by Michala on our Fathers Day picnic.

I have used some OA 'Woodland Park' on this one:

And I've added some Prima flowers and the Studio Calico camera. I pulled out my white gel pen and doodled around the outside of the patterned paper too.

I had had the big kids school photo for ages but wasn't really sure how to tackle the really bright yellow of their uniforms on a layout. So I just focused on matching the navy blue instead. I have used some OA '9to5' here.

And doodled with my white gel pen once again.

These My Little Shoebox alphas were perfect for this layout too!

Another Challenge

Thought I'd better share this layout before the end of the month gets here. I can't believe it's nearly October!! This is another layout I did while on retreat. It's for this months Kraft It Up challenge. I love this photo of my two favourite boys. :) So this is my layout:

which had to use this colour combination:

And here are a couple of close ups:

I've used some more goodies from D-lish Scraps - the bottle cap and the wooden stars. :)

This Little Pretender

Are you sick of me yet? lol I have another layout to share today. This one is for this months White With 1 challenge - white + orange + black.

This layout is about Darcie pretending to be asleep so I wouldn't take her photo. The fact that she was smiling kinda gave it away that she wasn't really asleep! lol

I've used another chevron bottle cap from D-lish Scraps on this layout.

And this cute little button is from Ormolu.

The kids are on school holidays as of this afternoon! I'm so excited and really looking forward to lazy mornings! lol My parents are coming to stay for a few days as well. :)

Party Food

In preparation for Michala's birthday party I pretty much spent the entire day before in the kitchen, baking. I *may* have gone a little overboard with the sugar! lol I made jelly cookies, cake pops, 2 different types of cupcakes and her birthday cake. I was exhausted! But it was all worth it in the end. The table looked very pretty with all the pinks, yellows and blues. I created this layout over the weekend:

And it's based on the September 1st sketch at Stuck?! Sketches.

And here are a couple of close ups. I've used a mix of Echo Park and Bella Blvd papers and some October Afternoon and Prima embellishments.

Love these little OA brads:

And once again I've used my trusty Dymo labeller. I don't think there is a layout where I haven't used it lately.

Her Lounge Dance

I have just spent the past weekend at the Savvy Delights Retreat in Tahmoor, NSW with the most amazing group of warm, friendly and uber-talented scrappers. I was very productive with a total of 20 layouts completed over the weekend!

This will be the first of many shares - a layout for the current challenge at Scrap The Girls. The challenge this month is to use action shots on a layout. I didn't have any current action shots of Michala, so last week I asked her to dance for me so I could get some photos. And being a typical 6 year old, she didn't want to co-operate. So she sat on the lounge and danced instead. *sigh*

I have used the She's Savvy kit from Scrapbook Savvy on this layout. It was available at the retreat. And I have also added this Charms Creations heart.

Here's a close up of my journalling:

And a close up of the title - using some Thickers and Chipboard Alphas by Bella Blvd.

I loved all the bright colours in this kit and have a few other layouts that I made with the kit to share with you later. Thanks so much for stopping by...
